My credit card data was compromised by this company. The issue was noted by American Express on May 7th and the form letter from Altrec finally arrived at my home on May 29th. So much for acting quickly to protect their customers from their carelessness. The form letter offered a token year of credit monitoring for victims. The activation code provided to me did not work and three days and three separate customer service contacts later, I still do not have a valid code for the credit monitoring.
Weak. Retailer Response (06/05/2012): I am sorry your activation code is not working for you. Please give our hotline a call so we can get that fixed for you 1-800-369-3949 ext. 111 You will be able to leave a message at that extension and our management team will get back to you as soon as possible. |

I placed an order on 11/26 to be shipped to my PO Box since the site says shipments to a street address are sent FedEx Ground and to a PO Box are sent Priority Mail. I live in WI and they are in OR, so I thought Priority Mail would be quicker. They shipped out my item 5 days later from IN to OR by FedEx Ground. I emailed them about my concern and was told on 12/4 that the warehouse did not ship to PO Boxes so they shipped to OR to be shipped to me. I asked them to contact FedEx and reroute it to my office and they told me that *I* needed to call FedEx to reroute it. FedEx wouldn't do anything for me because they were carrying the package from a warehouse to a business and had no idea who I was. So Altrec received my package on 12/6 and shipped to me on 12/7, giving no tracking info. I finally got tracking info on 12/11 after another request, only to find it was sent to my office by FedEx Ground to arrive on 12/13 - 17 days after my order. I wouldn't recommend Altrec to ANYONE. |

I had a positive experience with Altrec.com. It took less than a week for the item to arrive at my doorsteps after placing my order. Email confirmations were provided with a FedEx tracking number. The whole process went smoothly. I would buy from them again. |

Most of the information I got on the shoes were from customer reviews. It'd be nice to see more authoritative, trustworthy reviews. This was the only sticking point of my purchase. I spent two days researching the shoes. Otherwise, the site was fast and user friendly. I'd like to see larger shoe sizes in stock (16-18 would be nice). |

The price was low and the delivery was quick, but I had to return the item because of wrong size, and it took me 3 weeks to get a refund after having to send them a delivery confirmation, otherwise they wouldn't do it. The worse it that it had been delivered two weeks before I contacted them, and they didn't tell me they were expecting a confirmation or anything. TERRIBLE customer service!! |

Customer service and "Price Match Plus" are AWESOME at Altrec.com. I recently ordered a pair of Oakley sunglasses in which Altrec matched the price from another website PLUS they gave me 5% on top of the savings. They offered free shipping as well. After placing my order, I found Oakley sunglass case that I wanted so I called back Dave F. (who helped me initially). He took my payment information, gave me FREE shipping and was super efficient and friendly. You can't ask for better customer service, product selection, or prices than at Altrec.com. I have become a loyal customer!! Thanks Guys! |
